Matthew 6:6 (AMPC) But when you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.

2025 is our year of completeness, plenty, surplus, fulfilment and doing great exploits in Jesus name, amen. In order to make this happen you need to realise that you will need to daily schedule times of personal prayer without disturbance. Corporate prayer is very good and must be encouraged but Matthew 6:6 above makes it very clear you need to create quality time to also pray on your own in a place without disturbances so that you clearly hear the voice of God and receive all the answers that you need from Him.

The Message Bible paraphrases Matthew 6:6 as follows “⁶ “Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.”

Our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ was a Master at having private personal times of prayer in addition to the times He prayed corporately with others, see the two some examples below.

(i)             Luke 6:12-13 (NLT Bible) ¹² One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night. ¹³ At daybreak he called together all of his disciples and chose twelve of them to be apostles. Here are their names:

(ii)            Luke 5:15-16(NIV Bible) ¹⁵ Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses. ¹⁶ But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.
